This article teaches users how to use auto-populated addresses when entering a listing into Rental Beast.
When adding or editing a listing in our system, our platform utilizes the Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) to verify addresses using commercial address-matching software. Similarly to how many e-commerce sites auto-populate shipping recommendations, once you begin entering an address for a listing, the CASS will auto-populate address recommendations that match your input. This reduces the chances of inputting the wrong address and can save time when creating a listing.
How to Use Auto-Populated Addresses:
To use CASS and select an auto-populated address, complete the following steps:
Log into Rental Beast and click on the “My Listings” tab.
Click the “Add a New Listing” button, or to edit an existing listing, click on the “Pencil” icon in the listing details.
Type the listing’s address in the “Street Address” field, and CASS will begin auto-populating address recommendations in a drop-down menu.
Review the recommended address and select the correct address.
Please note: Some suggested addresses exist in multiple cities/states, so ensure you select the correct address.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I have to use the CASS auto-populated address? No. You can manually enter the address. If you manually enter the address, don’t add extra spaces between it or after because it will affect the listing visibility.
Why didn’t an address auto-populate? If your address does not automatically populate, it is likely because it’s too new and not in the CASS yet.
Will this impact any of my existing listings? No. This change will only apply to new listings added to our database after adopting CASS functionality.
What should I do if I believe there is a discrepancy in the data or a missing address? If you think an address is missing or incorrect from CASS, please email us the listing ID, complete address, and account information to Support@RentalBeast.com.
