Follow Apply Now's application initiation process for tenant agents, step-by-step, for both MLS and off-MLS listings.
When you represent the Tenant (and do not also represent the Landlord), the first step in initiating an Apply Now application is to confirm with the Listing Agent or property owner that they will accept an application from Apply Now. Applicants will pay $49 per report; please note that once an Applicant’s credit has been run, Rental Beast cannot issue a refund.
If the property your tenant is applying for is listed on your MLS, and the Listing Agent has confirmed they will accept applications submitted via Apply Now, simply launch Apply Now by clicking the Rental Beast icon on the listing detail page in your MLS:
Clicking this will bring you to Rental Beast’s application form (aka “the blue form”), which will start the application process.
Be sure to ask the listing agent who to reference when completing this section. More often than not, you'll enter the listing agent's contact information.
The Listing Agent may elect, later in the process, to change the Reviewer to the actual Landlord, at which point your tenant will be asked to consent to this change. In the Apply Now system, only one person accesses the reports at a time. As the Tenant Agent, you will be able to view the status of the application review process, but you will not have access to the reports.
The listing information will pre-populate on the blue form, and if you need to make any changes, you can do so here:
The Applicant section is where you will add information about the applicant(s). If multiple people are applying together (roommates, co-signer, etc.) click the “+” button to add applicants:
Once you have completed the Applicant section of the form, you will be able to click the Submit Application button at the bottom of the page. Once you have clicked the Submit Application button, you will not be able to edit any of the information on this page, so double-check to make sure everything is correct!
After clicking the Submit Application button, emails will be sent to you and your client(s), confirming that the application process has begun.
If the property your tenant is applying for is not listed in MLS, you can still use Apply Now via Rental Beast Lite. Before starting an application be sure to verify that the Landlord will accept applications via Apply Now. To access Rental Beast Lite, click on the Rental Beast link from the Tools or Quick Links sections in Pinergy:
