How to Log Client Notes

Purpose :The purpose of this article is to explain how realtors can use the “Add Client Communication” button to keep track of when they made contact with a client and which method they used to contact them.  Realtors can log notes for both renter and landlord clients.

Step by step instructions:

  1. The Renter Clients list and Landlord Clients list can both be accessed by clicking on the Clients tab on the main menu bar than clicking on the relevant link.

  1. After clicking on either the renter clients list or landlord clients list link, choose the client who you would like to log a communication with and click on their name.  This will bring you to their profile.
  1. On the right side of the screen, there is a section labeled Client Activity.  This is where any note you log for your client will appear.

  1. To add a new note, you can click on the + "Add Client Communication" button.  This will bring up the client communication log screen.  You can enter the details for your communication then click the blue "Submit" button to save it.

  1. Once you have logged a client communication, you can view it in the Client Activity section on the right side of the client’s profile.

  1. If you would like to edit a log, you can click on the pencil and paper icon.
  1. If you would like to delete a log, you can click on the trash can icon.

Best Practices: We strongly encourage realtors to use this tool to log all client communications.  This will make it easier to follow-up with them if there is a lull in communication.
