This article details the process for completing an Apply Now application.
Purpose: This article shows the steps required to complete, update, and review an application as an applicant using the Rental Beast Apply Now tool.
Step 1: Completing the Application:
First, the applicant will need to enter their personal information:
Next, the applicant will enter their current and past residential information:
The applicant will enter information about their current employment and income:
The applicant will complete information about their current banking institution. They can also decide to include personal references, but it is optional:
The applicant can decide to include an emergency contact, however, it is not required:
To complete the required information for the application, the applicant will need to answer a few personal questions about their living habits and past background:
Step 2: Verifying Identity for Transunion Screening Report:
The applicant will need to answer three questions that will verify their identity for Transunion to be able to complete the screening report:
Complete payment and submit a screening report request to Transunion:
Step 3: Updating an Application and Reviewing the Status:
Immediately after submitting a request for Transunion to compile an applicant’s screening report, they will be prompted to upload any supporting documentation. They can upload these documents within their applicant portal, so it is not required to complete this step here:
The client can go to the applicant portal to view their report or upload any required supporting documentation for their application:
The client can view their application and screening report. They can see the same items the property owner or manager sees.
Once the property contact has made a decision, the applicant will receive an email notifying them they can view the decision within their Rental Beast applicant portal. To access the reports, applicant will login, head to "My Applications" and click "View Applications"
Note: Criminal reports are not longer provided due to a change by Transunion 8/8/23.
